Best Drugstore Foundations For Dry or Oily Skin

When it comes to drugstore foundations, the world is our oyster. We literally have the pick of the litter, as there are endless options at affordable prices (well, sometimes). What is considered affordable for some, may not be affordable for all. So I decided to make a post that helps out those of us looking for THE one. THE best drugstore foundation for your skin type. This post is for those of us tired of dropping $10 here and $8 there in an effort to find THE best drugstore foundation.

Just to be fair, there are some amazing foundations that can be found at lower prices. For example NYX, Wet N Wild, BH Cosmetics, Milani and Revlon have all stepped up their drugstore foundation game, but that's not why you are here. You are here for the best of the best foundation. The foundation that changes the game and makes you wander, down the makeup isle, no more. The foundations that I am about to mention can be found at your local Target, CVS, Walgreen or even Rite Aid for about $10!

So which foundation is?
Drum roll please.
L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation and L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation! In the pictures above I am wearing the Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation.

So which one is right for you? As a general rule of thumb, if you have dry skin, you'll want to stay away from anything that would make you appear even more dry. You were born looking "matte" so you'd want to stay away from anything that boasts "matte". So if you are dry like me, you'd want to pick up the Infallible Pro-Glow foundation to give you that dewy, glow from within that we are lacking because of our tight dry faces a la white flakes.

Whereas if you are oily, you'll want to avoid anything that would make you appear more oily. Since you were born with extra shine and "glow" you'd want to stay away from anything that boasts "glow" or "dewy".  If you are oily, you'd want to pick up the Infallible Pro-Matte foundation to mattify (or reduce the appearance of) an oily complexion.

These L'oreal foundations are not only affordable but they also go a long way. You don't need to use a ton of product to get the job done. They are light and creamy and apply like a dream with a damp beauty blender or the brush of your choice. In my experience they are a medium buildable coverage.  They photograph beautifully and last all day. What more could you ask for in a foundation?

As always I hope in no way to deter anyone from purchasing or trying out any product you have an interest in or want to try. You should always draw your own conclusion, just as I have done.

You're beautiful, remember that. Until next time, work hard, dream big, eat cake.
